Do not sell or share my personal information
Introducing you to a funder who pays us counts as a sale. Measuring our advertising counts as sharing. Here is how to stop either.
Last updated 18 September 2026Yes, we sell and share. Here is what that means.
Most sites bury this. We will not.
Funding partners pay us a fee when a deal we introduce completes. Under the California Consumer Privacy Act, and under similar laws in Colorado, Connecticut, Texas, Virginia and other states, passing your information to a funding partner in exchange for that payment is treated as selling or sharing your personal information. That is what the business does, and it is why this page exists.
What we do not do is sell your details as a shared lead to several buyers at once. One application, one matched funding partner.
What gets shared, and with whom
When you submit the funding check, the application is passed to the single funding partner matched to you. It contains the answers you gave and the contact details you entered.
- The funding product, amount, purpose, time in business, state, industry, monthly deposits, existing advance and credit band you selected
- Your name, business name, email address and mobile number
- The indicative range we displayed to you
The second kind of sharing: advertising
Two separate things happen, and you can stop either one independently.
The first is the introduction to a funding partner, described above. The second is smaller but still counts: when you complete the funding check, we send Meta a scrambled, one-way version of your email address and mobile number, together with the advertising click identifier contained in the link you arrived on. Meta matches it against its own users so that we can tell which advertisement produced a real application.
We are not building a profile of you and we are not following you around the internet, and the scrambled version cannot be turned back into your email or your number. It still meets California's definition of sharing for cross-context behavioural advertising, which means you have the right to stop it. Stopping it does not affect your application or your chances of being funded.
How to opt out
Email hello@cashmansam.com with the subject line Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information. You do not need an account and there is nothing to pay.
Tell us which one you want stopped: the introduction to funding partners, the advertising measurement, or both. If you do not say, we will stop both.
You can also stop the advertising measurement without emailing anyone. If your browser sends the Global Privacy Control signal, our site detects it and switches off the advertising tracking before it runs. Several browsers send it by default and others offer it as a setting or an extension. We cannot detect a signal for the funding partner introduction, because that is the service itself, so that one still needs an email.
To help us find you, include the email address and mobile number you used on the funding check, and the business name if you gave one. We use that only to locate your record and verify the request.
We action opt-out requests within 15 business days, which is the period California allows. Requests to know, correct or delete take up to 45 days.
What happens after you opt out
We stop passing your information to funding partners, and we will not do so again unless you submit a new application and consent to it.
One thing we cannot undo: a funding partner already matched to you before your request holds that information under its own privacy policy. Tell us and we will pass your request on to them, but their obligations to you are theirs, not ours. If you also want the calls and texts to stop, say so in the same email and we will handle both.
If you opted out of the advertising measurement, we stop sending your scrambled details to Meta from that point on. What was already sent cannot be recalled by us, but you can ask Meta directly to delete what it holds about you using its own privacy controls.
Someone can do this for you
An authorised agent may submit a request on your behalf. Send it from the agent's email with written permission signed by you, and we may contact you directly to confirm you authorised it before we act.
Your other rights
Opting out of sale or sharing is one of several rights. You can also ask what we hold about you, ask for a copy, ask us to correct it, and ask us to delete it. Those are set out in the privacy policy, and the same email address handles all of them.
We will not treat you differently for asking
Exercising any of these rights costs you nothing, and we will not deny you service, charge you a different price, or give you a worse experience because you asked. What will happen is practical rather than punitive: if you opt out of sharing, we cannot introduce you to a funder, because the introduction is the sharing.
If you are not satisfied
Tell us first and we will try to fix it. If that does not resolve it, California residents may contact the California Privacy Protection Agency or the California Attorney General. As we are a Canadian business, you may also contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada, or the Commission d'acces a l'information du Quebec.
Submit your request
This opens an email with the subject line already filled in. Add the email address and mobile number you used on the funding check so we can find your record, and send it. A person reads it.
